Welcome - this tool will tell you the dpi you need to set your scanner at to ensure the minumum amount of data needed for an attractive print. Just enter the dimensions of the image you are going to scan into the first two input boxes, and the dimensions of the poster you want. Hit SUBMIT and the calculator will show what what resolution you should scan your image at.

You may use any units, as long as they are the same for each file (if you use inches for for the input dimensions, be sure to use inches for your output dimensions, too)
